Welcome to Adult Summer Reading 2025!
Although we will be having in-person programming all summer, we will continue to track books/points online. Please visit martinpubliclibrary.readsquared.com to register and log your reading (this is the same as last summer). Adults may begin logging books on Monday, June 2, 2025! You will be able to earn a prize for each book read and we will also have weekly prize drawings for bigger prizes! Click here for information on children/teen programming. Summer Reading Registration
You may register at any point during June and July for the Summer Reading Program! We will be using READsquared to log books and track goals this year FOR ALL AGES. Sign up is simple; click here to access READsquared. There is also a free app available for both Android and iOS mobile devices. If you do not have access to internet or these devices, there will be a laptop station in the children’s department to use for registering and logging books. Adults will receive a prize for each book read and there will be a weekly drawing for bigger prizes.
Adult Programs
Bingo
Bingo meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at 11:00 AM. FREE to play. Everyone walks away a winner! No registration required. Ages 18 and up.
Adult Cooking Classes
Unleash your inner chef this summer! Join a small class of ten adults for hands-on sessions filled with tips and delicious creations. Thursdays at 5:30 PM. Registration is required.
Mindfulness for Beginners
In partnership with Paul Meek Library, we are taking our Summer Reading Program to UTM! Join us on Wednesday, June 4th at 11:30 AM at Paul Meek Library as Dr. Ostenson teaches us how to destress. Light refreshments will be provided by Vantage Coffee Roasters.
Board Game Nights
Join us for games, friends, and fun! Organized and free play games tables will be available on the second floor of the library. All ages are welcome to play on June 5 and July 3, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM.
Plant Swap, Potting & Growing Tips Workshop
In partnership with Paul Meek Library, we are taking our Summer Reading Program to UTM! Join us on Wednesday, June 11th at 11:30 AM at Paul Meek Library as Dr. Totten teaches us all about plants.
Adult Painting Class
Join Julie in the Makerspace on Saturday, June 14th at 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM to create something special! There is a small supply fee of $10. Registration is required. Maximum of 12 participants.
Mood Boards
In partnership with Paul Meek Library, we are taking our Summer Reading Program to UTM! Join us on Wednesday, June 25th at 11:30 AM at Paul Meek Library as Dr. Gatto helps us create mood boards. Feel free to bring your own laptop; some will be supplied if needed. Light refreshments will be provided by Vantage Coffee Roasters.
Murder Mystery Party
Calling all Whovians! Travel through time on Thursday, July 10th at 6:30 PM and solve a perplexing crime at this Dr. Who-themed Murder Mystery Party. Registration is required.
Paint & Sip Workshop
In partnership with Paul Meek Library, we are taking our Summer Reading Program to UTM! Join us on Wednesday, July 17th at 11:30 AM at Paul Meek Library as we paint with Julie Kissiar. Light refreshments will be provided by Vantage Coffee Roasters.
Karaoke Party!
Belt out your favorite tunes and celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program. Join us for a fun-filled evening of music and laughter. No registration required.
